Formal Mediation

Mediation is appropriate when a formal grievance has been raised and the client company wishes to avoid going to tribunal and to demonstrate they care for their employees’ well-being.

We are accredited mediators, (SPCP, Regents College) and are registered members of the Civil Mediation Council.

Depending on the nature of the case, we can be flexible in our approach. However, typically we will aim to conduct the mediation during the course of a day. The parties will meet at the beginning of the day in a joint meeting and briefly communicate to the mediator and each other the nature of the problem as they see it. The mediator will then meet with each party, separately, in private, shuttling between one party and the other over the course of the day gathering parties’ views on the problem and views on a way forward. If and when appropriate, the parties will meet together at the end of the process to sign a settlement agreement which commits parties to delivering what has been agreed.
